Airport tax for entry and exit is $20 and there’s a $24 entry tax per person for entrance to the San Blas region.
Option 2:
Transport by road:
If you have your own vehicle, you can drive directly to Carti. The road is very curvy and in some places you may need 4×4 power (especially in wet season).
Use ‘Carti parking and boat terminal’ in Google maps. Reference : F23C+W2C, Warsobtugua, Guna Yala, Panama. From the boat terminal you need to arrange a water taxi to the boat location (which the Captain will share with you closer to the date)
The water taxi is around $50 each way per person and must be scheduled a week in advance to guarantee transfer space.

It is VERY unlikely that you will suffer any type of sea sickness. Vox Veritas Vita is 50’ long which creates a very smooth and stable sailing experience.
The San Blas is also very sheltered by many beautiful coral reefs.
You will need to get a water taxi to us which is around 50 minutes and the sea may be quite rough.
If you have suffered with sea sickness before, you may want to bring some medication for the water transport to and from Vox Veritas Vita.
We recommend that you pack light to come to the San Blas Islands! Space in the shared vehicles and in the water taxis are very limited. Towels, shampoo, conditioner and soaps are provided. We recommend you definitely bring:
- Reef safe sunscreen
- A sunhat
- Long sleeve water shirt and water shorts
- You may want to bring a mosquito repellant for the islands in the evening although generally there are not so many mosquitoes in San Blas
- Camera
- Any medications you need (pharmacies are limited in San Blas)
- Enough cash including smaller bills (no ATMs in San Blas)
It is absolutely forbidden to spear fish in the San Blas and if you bring a spear gun with you, the security at the entrance to the San Blas Region may confiscate it.
